Might be slightly controversial but the dungeondraft map format is just JSON, apart from terrain and with a few other compromises you could export a MapMe set of metadata to a DD format. So you start the map with MapMe and then modify it in DD.
I wouldn’t make this a priority but an idea for the future.

That's not a bad idea at all! It could be quite useful, especially since some features available in Dungeondraft aren't yet supported in MapMe. Exporting metadata from MapMe into a Dungeondraft compatible format could enable creators to leverage the strengths of both tools, using MapMe to start and structure their maps, then enhancing them further in Dungeondraft, making the maps easier to load into VTT platforms. Now think about adding shadows, walls, lightning etc.
